Metal fans from Cedar Rapids & surrounding areas came en masse to see an assortment of heavy hitting death metal bands from around the Midwest. The night was filled with mosh pits, crowd surfing, blown out knees & a suffocating amount of smoke for the crowd that packed the small void that is the Black Hole at CSPS. If you were a metal head that decided not to make it that night, you really missed out on a great show, filled with tons of action. Despite a fairly late lineup change, with Phantom Threat replacing Scab Hag, everything went off without a hitch. The line up included: Toxic Hell from Cedar Rapids, Liquified Decomposition from Dubuque, False Providence from Des Moines, Pursuit from North Dakota, Ruin Dweller from Wisconsin & the aforementioned Phantom Threat from the Quad Cities. Unfortunately, I was not able to stick around for False Providence, but I was able to capture some energetic images from those that played before them.
This line up was a great way to start off the year for us at Captured Concerts. If you haven’t seen any of these bands live before, make sure to keep your eyes peeled for future shows. Otherwise, it’s time to enjoy the frenetic images I captured!
